Warriors Golf Team Ranks Fourth in the State With Tournaments In View

The Pleasant View Christian School Golf Team holds a 4th-place ranking in the Tennessee State Independent Athletic Association (TSIAA) state poll headed into the last week of the season.

With seven returning players from the 2025 Season, this year’s Warrior Golf team is looking to make waves in the postseason.

Led by junior Will Nelms, the 2026 squad has set records for the lowest score in team history. Nelms is currently ranked fourth in the state individual rankings and has added victories at several SNEDS Tournament events to his 2026 resume.

Head Coach Jason Bell noted the team’s resiliency: “They continue to strive to improve and have not let a bad match affect the next,” said Bell. “These young men have shown Christ on and off the course. They have developed relationships with members of other schools and have done so with integrity and character.”

“As we head into the tournaments, I would like for my teammates to know that we have taken a big step this season compared to the past year I played.” said Senior, Garyn Chance. “No matter the result of the tournament, we have won as a team and made great memories.”

With the tournament beginning next week, the Warriors look forward to finishing the season strong while continuing to demonstrate leadership, character, and teamwork on and off the course.
