The beginning of a new school year is always filled with energy and excitement. As students navigate the new rhythms and routines of their daily schedule and teachers settle into a pattern of engagement and instruction, these days set the stage for the rest of the year.
At PVCS, our dedication to prepare all of our students to launch as leaders with a biblical worldview informs our day to day decisions and activities. We couldn’t be more excited than to have a front row seat to watch them grow and develop into young men and women who will have a positive impact on their families, their communities, and their world.
With that in mind, we wanted to find a way to share more of their stories and our journey with the rest of our PVCS community. To that end we are excited to announce the launch of The Fletcher, a new bi-monthly newsletter dedicated to bringing you stories about our students and a glimpse into the vision and mission of Pleasant View Christian School.
For those of you who may not know, a fletcher is the historical name for someone who makes and distributes arrows. It is appropriate, then, that the connection between arrows and warriors found in Psalm 127 has become such a central part of our understanding about the role of the school and parents (fletchers) in the development of our students (the arrows) to be launched to pursue their God-given purpose in the world.
We are so grateful to be a part of this journey with each of you and can’t wait to see where we go together.

Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.
